Joan of the Arch, I was thinking the same thing, but you put it so much better than I could. I had this feeling that the reporter was either a) from a very upper class background and genuinely shocked that someone would eat canned ravioli, or b) trying way too hard to punch up the drama of the article. The two low-income women featured in the article aren't the ones using the words "reduced to" or "dependent on."
