Plenty to be saved on commuting these days. I'm spending 2 hours a day myself. Lucky for me I drive a gas burning Civic and get 40 miles per gallon. I recently read that Nissan is coming out with an all electric (not a hybrid) vehicle priced for us average folks in 2009 or 2010. I can't wait! Electricity is sooo much cheaper than gasoline. Battery technology is going to get better and better too. For those who's commute isn't quite so long, there are tons of options for electric bikes out there too.
