Fran, I might very well hang ours if I had to pay that much every month!

Our monthly bill (budget plan) is only $43! It was recently lowered from $82 but still I guess even $82's not bad! The reason it dropped is because we snowbird in the winter and no electricity is used. We have a gas furnace and a gas water heater (my dh worked in HVAC until recently and installed this) and the furnace is used only if the temperature drops to freezing to protect the pipes and the water is turned off.

I was just surprised how many of you air dry your clothes! I remember my mom doing that and when I was first married in southern CA, I did it, but I haven't for a very long time.
