Christmas spending is a constant source of stress for me.
We buy for parents, a few siblings, nieces/nephews, and our own family- of course.
I like to keep extended family gifts around $500 total, but whenever I do, I feel like such a cheapskate after all the gifts have been exchanged. The others just spend so generously. After last Christmas I sat down and tried to figure out a budget that would be more in line with what our relatives do- I came up with $1700

That just seems like too much, especially since we aren't super close with our families.
Honestly, I don't know how much we are going to spend this year. Probably somewhere between $500 and $1700. I already have the $1700 set aside, but I have a feeling that as Christmas draws closer, I'm not going to be real eager to spend that much.
