Default Wireless Price War On Horizon?

According to an article at money.cnn.com, Verizon Wireless plans to cut the price of its high-speed wireless Internet service next week from $80 a month to around $60 in a bid to increase its customer base.

While still not cheap by any means, it brings the price down by some 20% and into the range where the service can be marketed to both business and households. This will likely increase the customer base which could lead to further decreases in the future.

How low can the prices go? According to another article at business2.com wireless service may eventually be free if Google jumps into the game, something that some experts believe is already taking place.
