We currently only pay about $30-40 a month for electricity in a 1 bedroom apartment and nothing else. I estimate that when we move to a small 3 bedroom house (1200 sq ft) it'll be about $200 for everything. Am I completely off?
Utilities I count as real utilities:
Electric
Gas
Water (probably includes garbage pickup)
Please do not include your cable bill in your estimate!

Project, going from a small 1-bedroom apartment to a 3-bedroom house, I would suggest that you plan for 3 times your current costs.
Utilities are so much location oriented and differs so widely by a whole bunch of factors both internal and external -- (insulation, age of furnace, water heater, oven, clothes washer/dryer, and external temperatures, whatever the local utility services charge people based on use, etc) that you're not really going to get a true picture from this posting.
If three times current costs, ends up being too high, then you have a bit of a savings at the end of the time. If it's too low, then you'll need to adjust.
But the variables are just to variable for us to know what things are like in your part of the US.
