Is the scanning of the check quick? I'm imagining sticking the check in and having to wait like 5-10 seconds for it to scan and process the image and show it to you.

I always prepared my deposit at home and just went to the ATM with the envelope all ready to go.
The scanning was quick, just a couple of seconds. About the same amount of time it took to accept an envelope before. That's why I figured it will slow down the process. Rather than having to take in one item, it now has to take in multiple items per transaction.
