I lost like $1200 in a scholarship but still went on paying for college myself. Actually I had other scholarships and grants. Then went on to a four year college. One of the most expensive in the country and came out with $10,000 of debt and graduated with honors getting my own house senior year. It was hard but it pushed me to know that I had to do it to take care of them and to show those that thought I couldn't do it . Anyway we are doing just fine now
