Oh we have things that have gone up in price too. Unfortunately, the items I am talking about do go off "sale" and return to their normal price a lot of times or stay permanently on "sale".

The tilapia is a good example of the first since it went back to normal after its "sale". Eggs are a good example of the second. Safeway has a buy one get one free (4+ months) deal on them but the unit price is $5.25 (1 1/2 dozen). King Soopers doesn't have them on sale but 2 1 1/2 dozen eggs come to $5.50. So essentially the same price but one looks like a much bigger deal.
