This is where the whole "a jury of your peers" thing comes in. I see your point, but this analogy fits poorly. Also, this argument seems absurd when you consider that the decisions that an elected official makes affects ALL citizens. How would you feel if you had to live according to a bone-headed decision by an official you weren't allowed to vote for/against??
