This has nothing to do with a receipt, but Best Buy has a policy regarding finding something they sell at a lower price elsewhere. If you do find something you've purchased from Best Buy sold for less at another store, simply go to Best Buy with proof (an ad or flyer) and they will give you the difference plus 10%.
On Halloween, I brought my kids to the mall and had some time to kill. I went to Best Buy for a couple of items, and then scoured the mall to see if I could find my purchases cheaper. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything but worse, I was sucked in by the Dead Sea products kiosks. Their high-pressure worked on me to the tune of way too much money. And I'm not one to part with money very easily. In effect, I let Best Buy's policy indirectly cost me a lot MORE money. I'm going to see if this kiosk ordeal has been discussed yet. It's a very interesting scheme....
