Another cheaper-than-kotex option for menstruation: the Keeper. I've been using gladrags for years (cloth menstrual pads) but only when I'm home. I just started using the keeper, which is a natural rubber cup. I think I'll still use a combo of disposables, gladrags, and the keeper, but it sure beats paying for five days' worth of pads or tampons.
