Mothering -- I love--wish I could do it as a stay at home mom.

Working my full time job--I hate it. They are not family focused, and could care less if you have a life outside of the office. Sick kid, you get get written up for missing work--not allowed to take it as a vacation day, because those must be requested 14 days in advance--if that particular date is availabe. (like you know when a kid will be sick). Also, we can get written up for personal phone calls--I was given a verbal warning when the school called to tell me I had a kid with a 102 temp. I have given that place over 20 years, and it just keeps going downhill. But, I am a single mom, without a 4 year degree, making close to $25 an hour in a hick town. I would not make the same money even if I drove an hour one way everyday to the city, so I am stuck with it.....(where are all the rich single good looking guys????)
