Default Re: My Favorite Site

pennywise - I will talk to Nate about a chat room. I know that the free ones have a lot of ads and are just plain annoying. I donIt know how much a good one costs, but will look into it.

Fern - Besides peopel coming in to post their affiliate links or pyramid schemes, I haven't had to do much work in regard to members. I think I have warned a single user about appropriate behavior in the forums the entire time we have been up (knock on wood). I find that if you keep a lot of the spam out, then spammers know their posts will be gone in minutes so it isn't worth their time to post here. I also am much appreciative to the volunteer moderators that also get a lot of that junk off the site right away...I would be spending a better part of a day doing it if they weren't willing to help.

I also think that a lot of people hear came from word of mouth or through a link being recommended by others. That and google searches which are people looking for the information being provided here. When people see other threads for people asking for help and info and getting sound advice and different opinions without blame (I think that is a major issue with people trying to get out of debt - people asking "how could you have done that in the first place?" whereas I have never seen that here - the focus is on improving for the future and not the past), they feel it's a good place to gather information.
