Oh, I'm not surprised by that at all. My fiance' and I both used to work for Target, and the managers at those stores are chomping at the bit by mid-October to clear the shelves of Halloween stuff in order to make room in the merchandise warehouse for Christmas stuff. I) they can off-load candy faster by marking it down to below cost, they'll do it.

Unfortunately for me and mine, we live out in the country, so we don't get trick-or-treaters. Once the new school and community center down the road open, though, we'll probably have to start getting things for the holiday, as the area will start filling up with more families. I'll be happy then, because I LOVE decorating our house for Halloween, and it really isn't much fun if there are not treaters around to see it.
