I think it comes pretty easy for me. Not so easy for DH though.
We don't have a budget (yes, I know...we should. But, it works for us.). We do track our expenses. We just don't buy anything that isn't a need. And, things we need we buy inexpensively.
I think it comes easy for me because I know that if I go out and splurge, it's just going to make things harder for us in a couple months when I'm no longer working. I just have to keep the big picture in mind and it makes things easier.
