I buy my contacts from Lens.com and do that through the Mr. Rebates site. I get a great price on my lenses (a 12 month supply or more at a time) plus I get money back for the purchase. In addition, the last time I purchased my lenses I used a coupon (found on the Mr. Rebates site) for free shipping.
You could do similarly through other cash back sites or reward/points sites. You can take that further and make the purchase with a cash back/reward credit card too.
Definitely shop around. I found that 1-800-Contacts, for instance, cost more than buying locally. Check Wal-Mart and/or shopping club prices too.
