I think my permit came on my birthday so I wasn't exactly at car license time.
I think I got a keychain for my future car ( a 1973 Mercury Comet that I piad with my own money - a total bomb) and a couple of driving accessories, maybe some clothes.
My parents generously paid the car insurance - I paid gas and repairs.
I am eternally grateful.
