I've tried a number of other auction sites that don't cost as much as eBay and I've found everytime that items either don't sell, or sell for much less than I can get on eBay. It's a kind of catch 22 - if you move to another auction site, you make less, but unless people move, there will never be competition for ebay and ebay fees will remain high.
I'm sure there are some specific items that will sell better on another auction site, I just haven't found them yet.
