Re: Baby Wipes
I did the white washcloth routine. I can get 2 dozen for $1 at the $1 shop, so I had a lot-they can be bleached clean if needed. I just rinsed them, and threw into a diaper pail-when it was full, I washed. The diaper pail had water, soap and vinegar in it--no smell. When full, I dumped the entire thing-water included into the washer, and set it to spin out-then washed as usual-sometimes adding other dirty whites (socks,underwear..). I used a combination of cotton diapers at home and daycare, and disposable ones when out and about. But, I even used the washcloth system when out--had 2 large 1 gallon ziplock bags in the diaper bag--one for damp clean ones, and one to put soiled ones in. I always carried a gallon of water in the back of the van, so if I need to rewet some, I had it. Now that my kids are older, I still keep 2 ziplock bags and washclothes in the back of my suburban--its for those sticky messes they sometimes get into while eating in the vehicle, or if someone gets sick, or you get dirty changing a tire.
