Default Re: Could you live without your car?

Hey Folks

I live in Philadelphia and never had a car, in fact, I don't even know how to drive. I can afford one, but I am greedy with my money, and would rather squirrel it away and feel I am slowly getting rich

So, for most parts of the country, maybe a car is a necessity, but even people living in the heart of the city insist on having cars so that they don't feel like paupers. But paying $700 a month for car payments, insurance, gas, and parking to ME makes one more of a pauper.

Anyway, I know to each their own. I may get a car one day, but it would be paid for in cash and REALLY be a necessity. What I plan to do in the meantime, though, is maybe learn to drive, and rent a car for an excursion once a month.
