DH definitely takes all of his days each year and is usually running short at the end of the year. He usually spends the vacation days working on house projects.
I take all of my days throughout the year; a day here and a day there. My sick days (12 a year) can accumulte to 60 so those I try to not use so that I have them if neeed later on.
