Could be...I definitely feel better now then with the extra 8 pounds. That said, I haven't been quite as consistent as I'd like with the eating and the exercise, so there may be a little more room for improvement.
An added incentive: my bil is a pretty avid runner, and I committed to running a 5K with him next Spring. (I used to run cross-country in High School, so it's not a completely foreign idea, though it was a mighty long time ago). That gives me 10 months or so to get into decent shape, which may help more with the weight loss...
