Default Great advice

You think like I do. I'm wanting to grow some things from seed as a hobby and am determined not to put a huge amount of money into it - I've got the time and it will keep me around the house, also a good idea. Anyway, so far so good, am using containers I've collected for months (2-liter bottles and plastic milk jugs cut in half), free flower and vege seeds, etc. Am using the method at wintersown.org (great website with pictures to give you hope) and free seeds with SASE. Hoping for a nice little crop of tomatoes, peppers, flowers, etc.
