Go find a temp agency - one that pays the day you work.

OR get that food service job and then think about going back to school so you are eligible for higher paying jobs than just those in the food service industry.

I would think that no money and no job does make you eligible for unemployment if you are located here in the US if you go apply for it. Also the food stamps. You may not want to rely on it long term and I applaud you for that, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't use it when you need it most.

I second the baptist church idea.

Go to the public library and use their newspaper to search out the want ads &/or go online there to research jobs, update your resume and get out there and get stumping for any work - now is not the time to be too proud!
