my sister gave one to my dad for his birthday last year. My family spends a lot of time at the beach, so he brings it with him.
He enjoys showing curious kids how to use it, and will teach them the ropes and let them keep any loot they find.
This particular metal detector will say what it is that is found (ie coin)
