I'm not really sure what you are saying here when you say "nothing"... unless maybe your definition of nothing is no free government handout for those who are not responsible enough to get health insurance
before they actually need it.
Once someone obtains health insurance then there are laws in place to make sure that no matter what happens they can always keep coverage (COBRA and HIPAA) - all they have to do is simply pay their premiums.
