I am a doctor and what amazes me is that insurance companies do not consider the mouth to be a part of the body. You can have the finest medical insurance there is and it won't pay one penny to fix a bad tooth. You must have
dental insurance for that. I have dozens, if not hundreds, of patients who have horrendous teeth because although they have great medical coverage, they have no dental coverage and can't afford to pay the dentist.
