Not only can I not afford the car I dream about driving, it actually hasn't even been designed yet!
There's a new company called Tesla Motors --
www.teslamotors.com. In fall of 2007 they are introducing their first car -- an all-electric sportscar that is faster than everything execpt one model of Porshe, and has a range of 250 miles per charge. It costs $89,000! They've already pre-sold the first 100 models, and it is a sweet looking car.
But that's not the car I want -- in about 2010 they plan to introduce an all-electric family sedan for about $40,000. A few years later they'll have an all-electric compact. I'm hoping that when it's time to replace my current car that these electrics will have been on the road for a few years.
