Default Re: Check Out This Article...pretty Scary!

Makes you wonder how some economists could think that we're actually saving too much eh?

As for newer technologies... yes I'm a bit afraid to get involved. Right now, it's just me with an old TV and an old DVD player. The TV was from my mom, who didn't want it, and the DVD player was from my ex, who didn't want that one. But that's it.

To join this impending digital revolution would most likely mean a new TV along and digital cable subscription. Of course, if I'm going to get a new TV, it's going to have to be in native HD resolution. Why settle for less? Oh, and 1080p would be nice.... And of course, you can't go without decent audio speakers! Audio makes a huge difference. And of course, that's just a step away from an Xbox 360... and maybe a Wii because, come on, the Wii is cool. But definitely the Xbox 360 to take advantage of the new HDTV. Oh yeah, and how can I possibly have all that technology without broadband internet? Gotta have that along with some kind of DVR. I'm tempted to roll my own, although AppleTV or even the Slingbox looks intriguing.

Whew!

It's a slippery and expensive slope, that one. Maybe I should just be content with my current Stone Age lifestyle.
