This highlights that exact same issue on a grander scale when communities locked in monthly rates for Internet service in the early stages and are now paying much more per month for inferior Internet service and will have to continue to pay for it for another 75 years.

Credit Score Video Contest: With some of the Super Bowl TV commercials made by amateurs rather than the Madison Avenue agencies this past year and the publicity they received, it doesn’t come as a surprise that other companies are following suit. Visa is taking the same approach in an effort to educate college students about credit scores. Members of the public (U.S. residents over age 18) are invited to create an original 30-second ad on the topic of why a college student should care about their credit score.

The grand prize winner, determined by a panel of judges, will get a $5,000 prize. The first and second place winners will receive $3,000 and $2,000 respectively, but will be determined by the voting public. Entries will be judged on originality and uniqueness, clarity, and relevance. You don’t have to be a college student to enter, but to win you must shoot something that will drive home to young adults the importance of having a good credit score.
