Finally corralled Nate for an evening and had him work on some of the things I wanted for this journal. You’ll notice that we now have a top 10 commenter list. Basically, it shows the people that have been commenting in the order of number of comments they have made each month from most on down. In addition, it gives those who have commented a backlink to their site. The top commenters list is set on a monthly cycle so it will reset at the beginning of each month meaning even those that happen to come across the journal a few months from now will be able to make it onto the list. Best of all, Nate created it as a Plugin so if you run a site using wordpress, you can add this feature to your site too! He still needs to make sure all the bugs are out of it, but I will let you know where and when you can add it to your site when it’s available.

You’ll also notice that the categories are now housed within a scroll down bar. Nate wanted to free up some space on the side so created this. As with the top commenter list, he made this a Plugin too so you can also clean up your side bar a bit if you use wordpress. Again, I’ll let you know when it has been released and is available for use.

Last, but not least, you’ll see that the colors change with each refresh at the top. This is the result of Nate playing around before tackling my requests, but we both thought it was kind of cool so we’re keeping it. Hope you like the additions…
