A new way of preparing organic foods for storage that doesn’t use chemicals may allow these foods to last longer and spoil less which should reduce their costs.

Half the electricity in a PC is wasted: Write yourself a note the next time your purchase a computer. Buying one that efficiently uses electricity may cost you and extra $20 – $30, but you should make that up in a year or so with the reduced electricity use. Hopefully in the next few years this won’t even be an issue…
