Google Finance launchesYou’ll be able to get a lot more information on the Google Finance from other sources – it seems geared toward companies and investing rather than personal finances, but there is one nice feature that I wanted to point out for those tracking their individual stocks. If you have a Gmail account (if you don’t, email me and I will send you an invite) you can input the individual stocks you own into the “my portfolio” area which will then give you the following information: Last Trade, Change, Buy Price, Shares, Investment, Current Value and Gain/Loss – this jumped out at me because I had quite a time finding the cost basis of some stocks I sold for taxes this year and had I had the information input in their section, it would have only been a click away.
