I did the same screening when I hosted the Carnival of Investing. Don't feel bad, you're doing a public service :) I've had my articles left out too, and it was for the best. My suggestion to the Carnival community as a whole, is can we limit the amount of articles to something reasonable? So the host can show more discretion and choose the best ones? That way they don't spend all night linking to 40 posts and trying to come up with a witty summary for each one. I think some other Carnivals are limited to 7 or 10 posts.
