I did a challenge in 2005 where I tried to turn $20 into $5,000 in 6 months in my spare time. Since this generated quite a bit of interest and a number of others joined in with their own challenges, we’re doing it again this year.
For me, it’s a wonderful way for me not to be lazy in my spare time (not that I have much of that these days) and keeps me thinking about creative ways to approach situations. Since I will be doing this in one form or another over the foreseeable future, I’ve decided to turn it into an extremely long term goal of creating $1,000,000 in my spare time beginning with nothing. I have set up a place where you can follow this if you have any interest at Active Investing Blog
While this will likely take several decades to complete, I hope to show how with a bit of extra work instead of sitting down in front of a TV that you can create a substantial amount of money.
This sounds terrific! Count me in – there are tons of places to pick up items cheaply in Atlanta, so maybe I can find a few things.
Just checked the site up to $55 its a start anyway and its the thought that counts.
