Savings Ahead

I always enjoy the oddball investment articles I think mainly because I have taken that route. While I have some investments in index stock funds, the vast majority of my investments are in antique collectibles. While I’m in a unique position living in Japan, I also didn’t know a thing about them 3 years ago. My advice to one and all is to find a collectible that you enjoy and research the hell out of it. It won’t necessarily be a primary source for your investments, but it will be a great way to add additional income to your net worth while also letting you enjoy something you like to do.

Fortune has an article on 10 unconventional investment bets that paid off as well as five that failed miserably. An interesting read into some large alternative investments made in the past.
