The last month of the year is almost here and along with all the other stuff that needs to get done, December 31 is also the deadline for a few tax relates issues. You can see a list of them in a new article I wrote

2005 Year End tax Deductions

While much of the advice is pretty basic, there is one charitable contribution you may not be aware you can take – If you have extra vacation days or sick days that you won’t use before the end of the year, you may want to contribute them to victims of the Katrina Hurricane. The IRS has set up a special program where you can donate unused sick or vacation days (Under Notice 2005-68) to help those affected by the tragedy.
