Fortune.com has a list of what Fortune 500 companies gave in charitable contributions in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.

Some of the donations were quite large including Exxon giving $7 million to the American Red Cross> general Electric pledge $6 million in cash in addition to $10 million in medical supplies and equipment. UnitedHealth has set up a $10 million relief fund saying it will write checks to causes until it is gone.

While many individuals reached into their pockets to help out in this disaster, it’s good to see that at least some companies are also doing their fair share to help with this unfortunate disaster.
